CGFNS International promotes new book for foreign-educated health professionals
NOVEMBER 2009 — The book is dedicated to all foreign-educated health care professionals whose knowledge, dedication, and deeds live on the through their caring spirit.A primary resource for foreign-educated allied health professionals has just been published by CGFNS International and Springer Publishing Company. The Official Guide for Foreign-Educated Allied Health Professionals, What You Need to Know About Health Care and the Allied Health Professions in the United States provides invaluable insight about providing safe, competent health care in the United States. The challenges they face in pursuing their dreams to practice in the U.S. range from leaving their home countries to obtaining a U.S. work visa, attaining licensure and employment in the United States, understanding and communicating within the U.S. health care system and adjusting to a new life.
Based on 30 years of providing credentials evaluation and verification services pertaining to the education, registration and licensure of health care professionals worldwide, CGFNS International teamed with Springer Publishing Company to publish this guide for foreign-educated allied health professionals who seek to practice in the United States. Michigan changes its Physical Therapy requirements to our coursework tool
JULY 2009 — Starting September 1, 2009, the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy will require that the reports they receive be based on the detailed coursework evaluation tool. To meet this requirement, ICD will change the Michigan report application from the individual state form to the detailed coursework evaluation tool, starting Saturday, August 1, 2009.

JULY 2009 — Please be advised that starting Tuesday, September 1, 2009, the price for the ICD Physical Therapy evaluation for New Jersey and those states that use the multi-state form will be $325.

ICD announces change regarding the time applications remain open
JANUARY 2009 — Effective March 2, 2009, applicants applying for any of the services provided by the International Consultants of Delaware (ICD) will be given 12 months to meet the application requirements. If a report has not been issued within 12 months of the date the first evaluation checklist is mailed to the applicant, the application expires. Applicants may then apply to reprocess their expired application and pay the associated fee.
